Jacqueline (Jackie) is Principal Osteoarchaeologist at Wessex Archaeology, specialising in Burial Archaeology, particularly the mortuary rite of cremation, on which she has published extensively. She is a founder member of the British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology (BABAO) and a member of the Advisory Panel on the Archaeology of Burials in England (APABE). She has extensive excavation experience, including in the Northern Isle where over the last 45 years or so she has worked on numerous sites including Birsay, Howe of Howe, Pool (Sandy) and Swandro (Rousay) on Orkney, and Old Scatness, Shetland. Jackie has appeared regularly on Time Team as our Principal Osteoarchaeologist.
